HOW TO UPLOAD YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE RVSF AUDIO ARCHIVE

STEP 1:
-------
The upload is done via FTP (File Transer Protocoll).
So you need an FTP client to connect to the server.

If you don't have one installed allready you can
get a free one at http://www.tucows.com

Windows users:
Search for freeftp, download and install.
It's an easy to use client in 8 languages.

MAC users:
search for fetch

LINUX users:
be happy, it's included in every distribution ;-)


STEP 2:
-------
Fill in the description.template.txt according
to the instructions quoted in the file.

Don't forget to fill in every category and
save it with the same filename as your
mp3 file in plain text format. 
example: radio_gaga_programmname.mp3,
         radio_gaga_programmname.txt

STEP 3:
-------
connect to the FTP server with the client proramm

server URL: rvsf.orange.or.at
port: 21 (which is standard in every client)
user: rvsf
password: rvsf

you should see the directory content of the
server if the connection was successfull.

select your contribution files from your
local hard disk and press the send button.
 
the client now starts to upload the files.
depending of your internet connection
and the length of your contribution this
can take quite a while. 

if the upload stops for any reason (bad 
connection, ...) you have to rename your
files to xyz1.mp3 and xyz1.txt and so
on before you start again with step 3.
this is for security reasion so nobody
can overwrite a contribution by accident.
